Jonas’ primary focus has been Music from the Deserts, exploring music and video created while winter camping 2021-25 in the remote Sonora Desert, including Arizona's Barry Goldwater Missile Range.
The spring 2025 release of the new album “backwardsupwardsky” (on Edgetone Records) is accompanied by an international tour featuring different ensembles in the US Southwest, Chicago, San Francisco, Brooklyn, the NE US, Berlin and Italy.
